Epic Special Education Staffing is currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide crucial language interpretation services to students with hearing impairments, facilitating their access to the extensive educational opportunities our schools offer. You will work closely with teachers, administrators, and other educational staff to create an inclusive learning environment that fosters the academic and social success of each student. Our mission is to ensure all children, especially those with special needs, achieve their full potential through tailored educational services. As a Sign Language Interpreter, your contributions will be vital in making this vision a reality. Provide real-time sign language interpretation during classes and other school-related activities. Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt educational materials and assessments to meet the needs of students with hearing impairments. Facilitate communication between students, peers, and faculty to ensure effective inclusion. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance educational practices. Monitor and report on the student's progress and adaptation within the school environment. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Experience in educational settings is preferred Knowledge of special education laws and best practices Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or similar State licensure for sign language interpreters where required
