The selected candidate will be trained under the supervision of a Senior Engineer and focus on conducting structural wood products testing in a laboratory environment. The successful candidate is detailed oriented, self-starter who displays a can-do attitude and a willingness learn and work in an injury-free high productivity environment. You will: Actively participate in a safety-driven workplace culture. Work independently or in conjunction with other technicians to execute structural wood test programs that include sample preparation, equipment set up, data collection and recording observations. Have accountability for test set up conformance to industry or company standards, accuracy of data collection, and error identification and resolution. Assist as requested with tasks related to maintenance of our ISO 17025 accreditation. Qualifications: We are looking for: · Highly motivated and organized individual with good attention to detail and deadlines · Requires High School Diploma/GED · Willingness to safely participate in a results-based culture · Willingness to learn new skills · Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of software, specifically (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). · Ability and willingness to become a user of technology that includes a variety of computer and PLC software Preferred: · Carpentry or woodshop experience · Wood products testing experience · Machining experience · Associates degree What We Offer: Compensation : This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $49,400-$74,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
