Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple
Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of
having millions of people living and working in space, we are
building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and
cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.As part of a hardworking team
specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will help design the
next generation of valves for a variety of end users on our Lunar
program. Your scope will encompass the complete life cycle of the
system from definition, interfaces, conceptual design, detailed
design, component development, assembly, verification, and
operation. You will own your components from initial design to
analyzing data from their landing on the moon!You will design and
perform 1st order analyses to verify your designs. You will work
with suppliers or Blue Origin groups to identify and procure
components. You will build Lunar vehicles in CAD by modeling
valves, propulsion elements, sensors, piping, and other equipment
in the flight vehicle. You will size, select material, and analyze
flow and structural integrity under pressure, vibration,
temperature and mechanical loads. You will work with suppliers and
other support organizations to procure, fabricate, and install
flight hardware.You may mentor entry level engineers and perform
technical peer reviews.Bring your technical expertise, leadership

required!Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in valve and or mechanical+fluids
component design
- Knowledge of propulsion and fluid system components (i.e.
valves, regulators and pumps for cryogenics, propellants, and other
fluids)
- Experience designing parts in CREO
- Ability to apply GD&T to create manufacturable, high
performing component drawings
- Experience using design analysis tools such as ANSYS and
Thermal Desktop to evaluate the performance of your designs
- Ability to define and support testing of your design, conduct
data analysis and iterate your design
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
relationships
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident
(current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as
a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:
- Advanced Engineering degree
- Experience with static and non-linear FEA analysis (ANSYS)
- Experience with CFD
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and
toleranceCompensation Range for:WA applicants is
$117,498.00-$164,497.20Other site ranges may differCulture
