Archbright, a trusted name in workplace performance and compliance, is looking for a Workers' Compensation Claims Consultant to join our dedicated team. You'll be part of an organization that values grit, inclusion, fun, transformation, engagement, and delivery-our GIFTED values.Position SummaryWorks as part of a team that provides Workers' Compensation Claims Management services to employers in a Retrospective Rating Program environment. Manages claims of all complexities, including complex and catastrophic claims, by communicating with employers, medical providers, and Washington State's Department of Labor and Industries. Works proactively to accelerate claims closure and mitigate financial exposure.QualificationsEssential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • References and follows Archbright's claims management best practices and policies, suggesting improvements.
  • Educates employers about retrospective rating programs and ReClaim requirements.
  • Corresponds with medical specialists, employers, state adjudicators, and vocational counselors to compile information.
  • Investigates, analyzes, and determines insurance liability concerning worker's compensation injury claims in accordance with state law. Coordinates with HR Advisors and Attorneys as needed.
  • Develops proactive plans of action for each claim and provides timely updates to the employers.
  • Works to accelerate claim closure and documents plans of action.
  • Verifies benefit payments for accuracy and eligibility, including Kept on Salary (KOS) as needed.
  • Advises employers on managing formal job offers and return-to-work programs, documenting recommendations.
  • Manages and monitors Retro compliance and takes required actions.
  • Conducts freeze reviews and strategizes to maximize claim closures and minimize costs.
  • Educates employers about L&I's Stay at Work and Preferred Worker programs, ensuring timely submissions.
  • Develops strong working relationships with member accounts, providing excellent customer service.
  • Prepares for and represents Archbright in Board of Industrial Appeals processes, consulting with Supervisors as needed.
  • Identifies and refers cases for legal review or litigation.
  • Collaborates with Loss Control to strategize financial outcomes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.Additional Responsibilities:
    • Prepares and conducts open claim reviews with members.Essential Qualifications:
      • Ability to prioritize accurately in a fast-paced environment.
      • Adherence to department practices, with suggestions for improvements.
      • Clear, grammatically correct communication via email and claims reviews.
      • High-quality, accurate, and timely service delivery.
      • Recognizes when legal advice is required.Other Qualifications:

        • Consistent attendance.Position Requirements:Must perform duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations for disabilities. No supervisory responsibilities but serves in a lead capacity.Education and Experience:
          • High school diploma or equivalent required.
          • At least 3 years managing workers' compensation claims.
          • Experience in a retrospective rating environment preferred.Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
            • WA State certification or WWCP designation preferred.Technical Skills:
              • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel.
              • Experience with claims management systems, SharePoint, and automation tools preferred.Physical Demands:Extended periods using a computer, participating in calls and video conferences.Work Environment:Primarily computer-based, may require working in shared office spaces.The complete salary range is $73,841 to $103,368, with a hiring range of $79,744 to $88,604.
