Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Operator Oil Refinery for our Tacoma, WA team who cleans and/or changes-out pump strainers and inline filters, load, unload and sample rail cars, sampling tanks and production lines, replacing PPE drums, pumps up re-use drums, empties all containment bins and to replace dirty oil absorbent pads.

  Responsibilities
  
  
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Samples process streams and assists with tank farm operations
  • Loading, unloading and sampling of rail cars
  • Gauges all process tanks every hour
  • Completes tank transfers to control inventory
  • Obtains routine process samples to verify product quality
  • Switches and changes process filters
  • Assists other operators
  • Completes housekeeping tasks within the refinery
    
    Qualifications
    
    What does it take to work at Safety-Kleen?
    
    
    • 1+ year experience loading and unloading rail cars and tankers preferred
    • 1- 2 years in a production environment preferred
    • Forklift experience is an asset
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team
    • Ability to work in all weather conditions
    • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, work at heights, stand for long periods
    • Must be able to work a rotating shift two on and off days and nights
