Job Description:
At Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice, we provide specialized
end-of-life care and euthanasia services in the comfort of a pet's
home. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced
Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will
be deeply committed to providing high-quality, empathetic care to
both pets and their families during their final moments together.
This role involves working closely with pet owners to ensure their
pet’s end-of-life experience is handled with dignity and love.
Provide compassionate and ethical end-of-life veterinary care to
pets in their homes. Consult with pet owners, providing emotional
support and guidance during the euthanasia process. Administer
medications, perform euthanasia, and conduct aftercare in
accordance with best practices and protocols. Maintain clear and
compassionate communication with pet families and the Lap of Love
support team. Help guide pet owners in making informed,
compassionate decisions about their pet’s end-of-life care.
Participate in continuing education activities to remain at the
forefront of veterinary medicine, particularly in areas pertinent
to hospice and palliative care. Strong emotional intelligence and
comfort with end-of-life care situations. Proficient in the use of
veterinary technology and tools related to in-home care. Excellent
communication skills, capable of empathetic interactions with pet
owners. Ability to handle stressful and emotional situations
professionally. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Valid veterinary license in the state of
practice. Certification in Animal Hospice and Palliative Care is
preferred but not required.
