Registered Nurse (RN) | Endoscopy Location: Mount Vernon, WA Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Nights - 5 days x 9 hours Contract Duration: 15 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) Contract | Mount Vernon, WA Position Overview The Endoscopy RN delivers specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures in an acute care setting. This role supports physicians and the endoscopy team by ensuring patient safety, procedural efficiency, and high-quality care before, during, and after procedures. Location & Schedule Location: Mount Vernon, WA Setting: Hospital-based Endoscopy; floating between locations as needed Shifts: 8-hour shifts with variable start times On-call: Required Assignment Type: Contract Pay range: $55 $60 per hour Key Responsibilities Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care to endoscopy patients. Monitor patients throughout procedures, including during sedation and recovery phases. Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies, ensuring readiness and adherence to infection control standards. Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, anticipating needs and supporting safe, efficient workflow. Float between designated facilities based on departmental needs. Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and timely in the medical record. Required Qualifications & Skills Active, unrestricted Washington State RN license (required). Current ACLS certification (AHA required). Prior endoscopy, GI lab, or procedural nursing experience preferred. Ability to work variable start times and participate in the call rotation. Strong patient assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking skills. Effective communication, teamwork, and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
