experience Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a
Cardiac PCU Stepdown unit. Candidates must have a minimum of 2
years experience in PCU. Cardiac experience is required. BLS and
ACLS certifications are mandatory. Common diagnoses include TAVR,
post catheterizations, temporary pacemakers, and post-operative
cardiac surgery patients. Nurses will be required to manage
titratable drips, including nitroglycerin, heparin, and amiodarone,
among others. Nursing ratios are 1:3-4 for PCU level acuity, with
charge nurse responsibilities on the unit. The unit is staffed with
nurse aides at a ratio of 1:8. There is no call or standby
requirement. Nurses will interpret their own EKG strips as part of
their responsibilities. Weekend shifts are required every other
week, with high demand on weekends. Candidates should have
flexibility and a team player mentality. Requirements Required for
