Current active compact license or applicable state license
Certifications: - AWHONN Advanced - BLS - NRP (Required) - ACLS
(Preferred) Must-Have: - Experience in High Risk Antepartum care -
Ability to assist with sterile speculum exams (effacement,
dilation, station, presentation) - Proficiency in maintaining
central lines (CVC/PICC) - Knowledge of anticoagulation therapy,
insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy - Experience
circulating for C-sections Description: Candidates must have been
separated from any previous facility for a minimum of 3 months.
Travelers with less than 2 years of experience or no experience
with C-sections will be screened out. Only candidates with an
intermediate AWHONN certification may be submitted for manager
approval. Floating to the postpartum unit is required. This unit
handles high-risk antepartum patients from 6 weeks to 41 weeks.
Examples of patient conditions include preterm labor, previa,
preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, premature rupture of
membranes, twins, and substance use disorder during pregnancy.
Candidates will care for patients experiencing fetal demise or loss
both antepartum and postpartum, as well as postpartum mothers with
babies in the NICU. No newborns are cared for on this unit. Support
of amnio or sterile spec exams at the bedside is part of the role.
Proficiency with PCA pumps, PICC/central lines, and syringe pumps
is required. Common medications administered include heparin,
insulin, and magnesium sulfate. Candidates must possess the ability
