Job Description:
Description Under the general direction of the Director, the
nurse manager assumes 24-7 accountability for the operational and
patient care management of assigned care areas. The Nurse Manager
is a Registered Nurse who has a comprehensive understanding of
leadership and patient care principles and applies those principles
in evaluation of work performance and outcome standards. The Nurse
Manager exhibits behaviors that enhance professional performance
and reflect the key moral commitment, ethical principles, values
and philosophy of PSHMC. Promotes staff productivity through a
defined care delivery system, and facilitation of the professional
practice model and governance structure. Participates in the
development and implementation of marketing strategies for their
particular service. The Nurse Manager is accountable for the
selection and evaluation process of unit staff. S/he is accountable
for integrating a performance assessment and improvement plan for
the unit/service. Applies leadership skills and CQI principles when
serving as a representative or chair on multidisciplinary
committees, and Nursing Service Councils. Providence caregivers are

Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree Nursing. - Upon hire:
Washington Registered Nurse License - Upon hire: National Provider
BLS - American Heart Association - Upon hire: CNOR - 3 years
Experience in Operating Room or procedural settings. - 2 years
Leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree

position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range
for this position will be determined based upon relevant job

pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role,
