Ultrasound Technologist - Breast Care Center at Providence Health and Services summary: An Ultrasound Technologist at the Breast Care Center performs diagnostic sonographic examinations including OB/GYN, abdominal, and small parts imaging, while assisting radiologists during invasive procedures. They evaluate patient conditions using clinical information and maintain certification in diagnostic medical sonography. The role emphasizes patient-focused care within a large healthcare system and requires national certification and BLS training. Description Performs a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts. Expectations also include assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures. Makes a clinical judgment of the patient's condition, based on information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and personal assessments. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Successful completion of Ultrasound training program Education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS) registry examination Within 1 year of hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 1 year Experience as an ultrasound technologist or ultrasound intern Why Join Providence Swedish?
