Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: WA RN or Compact RN required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BCLS required Must-Have: Experience in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Description: Start date: ASAP. Shifts available: 3 or 4 twelve-hour day shifts. First-timers accepted. Weekends required. Call not required. Candidates will need to float between like units based on need. Locals not accepted. Orientation includes 40 hours, typically over three days in the first week. This unit is very busy, with over 400 births in the summer. Travelers should be able to get up to speed quickly. Core staff on the unit is primarily new, so experienced travelers will be leaned on heavily. This is a Level III Obstetrical Unit. Orientation details include three days of training, usually Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. All travelers are expected to float between various like units within their skill set. Travelers may be asked to float within the hospital or to a nearby sister location. Candidates will be responsible for submitting their monthly cell phone bill directly for any necessary work-related calls. Providers will need to have at least two supervisory references covering one year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty or setting. All travelers are expected to float regularly between various units.
