Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Sterile Processing License: Required Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM Must-Have: - Inpatient, outpatient, and trauma setting experience - Experience in sterilization, decontamination, assembly/wrap, case cart, HLD, and scrub - Experience with surgery cases including Ortho, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Gyn, Bariatrics, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, Transplant, Robotics, and Implants - Ophthalmology experience preferred Description: The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and prepared for use in surgical procedures. The technician will handle a daily caseload of approximately 65 surgical cases and manage around 1200 tray volumes. Weekend work is required as part of the role. On-call duties will be assigned twice per month, along with rotating weekends. Candidates should be experienced in utilizing SPM and have familiarity with EPIC charting. The technician is expected to demonstrate strengths and weaknesses in designated service lines and articulate reasons for consideration for the assignment. Preferred shifts will be taken into account, along with any requested time off.
