Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply
Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the hardware
infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision
is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud and AI
capabilities at scale. Our mission is to deliver the worlds
computer with an industry-leading supply chain. The CSCP
organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions
such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages
supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of
datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and
foundational technologies for Microsofts over 200 online businesses
including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the
Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure
is supported by more than 300 datacenters around the world that
enable services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90
countries. The Cloud Sourcing, Spares, Security and Sustainability
(CS4) organization within CSCP manages sourcing, strategy, and
suppliers to provide cost, flexibility, and supply advantages that
enable our org to become a world-class supply chain. Well-defined
and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable,
on-time performance and optimized cost, prevents urgent and
unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information
across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply
Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or
related field AND 3 years supply planning, operations, supply
chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain,
sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience OR Masters Degree
in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management,
Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related
field AND 1 year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain,
indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing
and manufacturing, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
3 years of experience with supply chain analytics. Other
Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government
security screening requirements are required for this role. These
requirements include, but are not limited to, the following
specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud
background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Engineering,
Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations
Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 5 years
supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply
planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and
manufacturing, or related experience OR Masters Degree in
Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain
Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or
related field AND 4 years supply planning, operations, supply
chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain,
sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience OR equivalent
experience. Extensive knowledge of hardware sourcing and supply
chain. Demonstrated expertise in spares and warranty support
including forward and reverse flows. Demonstrated track record of
supplier management. Proven capabilities in operating in a growing,
fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Distinctive
problem-solving leadership and analytical thinking capabilities.
Skilled in influencing and ability to build lasting relationships
across multiple layers in the organization. Leadership skills and
an ownership mindset. Excellent communication and synthesizing
skills (both written and verbal). Operations consulting experience
is a plus. Extensive experience collaborating with and leading
cross functional teams. Cloud / high tech supply chain experience
is a plus. Supply Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for
this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There
is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within
the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and
the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500
- $206,400 per year. Microsoft will accept applications for the
role until June 18, 2025. Responsibilities Main contact point for
supply optimization, ensures compliance with SLAs, collaborates
cross-functionally on performance scorecards Proactively mitigates
risk throughout operations by holding teams accountable for all
aspects of supply, including technical, schedule, and operational
risks Establish sourcing strategy through strong partnerships to
drive long term continuity of supply for spares and warranty parts
and services Provide thought leadership, driving strategic
initiatives with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support
cloud supply chain objectives and strategies. Create and deliver
supplier relationship management strategy with each supplier in the
space. Participate in RFQs and selection process through a cross
functional analysis around supplier capabilities Support of
programs through the new product development phases to ensure
continued optimization, parts availability, and launch readiness.
Onboard supplier to Microsoft tools / system as required Ensure
supplier compliance with Microsoft requirements (e.g., social
responsibility, security) Defines and executes the spares and
warranty sourcing strategy across suppliers
