single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of
routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit,
geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage
is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning

Earth.This role supports the development and operations of New
Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of
routinely carrying people and payloads to Earth's orbit and beyond.
Engineered with a reusable first stage and a seven-meter payload
fairing, New Glenn is building the road to space.We are looking for
someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and
commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.

passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will own the
design, development, and verification of Blue Origin's next
generation of launch vehicle networks. Demonstrating your
familiarity with commercial networking equipment and standards and
your proficiency in system level network integration, you will lead
the design, verification, and integration of networks critical for
human space flight.Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and verification of network requirements;
perform network performance modeling, simulation, and
measurement.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team in designing, integrating, and
testing launch vehicle networks.
- Direct network unit production and qualification.
- Serve as the technical focus for the network development and
integration with systems engineering, mission operations, and
flight operations teams.Qualifications:
- B.S. degree or higher in an applicable field (electrical
engineering, computer engineering, computer science, etc.)
- 7+ years of experience in design, development, test and
operation of networking systems
- Intimate familiarity with layer 2 and 3 switching/routing
hardware and software (including Ethernet and IP)
- Hands-on experience and proficiency in networking hardware and
software solving, including developing network integration tests
and working with network test equipment
- Extensive Python programming and scripting experience
- Demonstrated successful execution of projects to cost and
schedule targets
- Expert in network tapping/telemetry, packet capture, and
analysis methods
- High level of attention to detail and task ownership
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident
(current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as
a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with network simulation software, network testing
hardware (e.g. traffic generators/analyzers) and real time
operating systems
- Deep understanding of multicast networking and IGMP.
- Experience working with ASICS and FPGAs over standard detailed
interfaces
- Knowledge of systems engineering practices, integration
processes, and mission/safety critical requirements and
analyses
- Experience with developing and debugging Python network
integration and test programsCompensation Range for:WA applicants
